Luthi Ranch wins Cutter Race Finals

• Dad’s Bar and Steakhouse finish 2nd

Luthi Ranch, driven by Layne Robinson, was the winner of the 2025 All American Cutter/Chariot Race Finals held Saturday, February 8 in Afton. The team defeated Dad’s Bar and Steakhouse, driven by Jaxson Newman, to the finish line by two hundredths of a second. Luthi Ranch finished with a time of 23.00 while Dad’s Bar was right behind them at 23.02.

Including the championship run, a total of five races were run during the finals. In the first race, K Bar, driven by Whitney Orme, defeated Pines Bar/Mountain Misfits, driven by Clay Giles with a time of 23.22. Hollis Concrete, driven by John Robinson, defeated Cutter & Gary, driven by Gary Simpson, in the second race with a time of 23.59. The third race was between Newman/Herrinfield/Lusk, driven by Jaxson Newman, and Hillstead Colts 1 driven by Adam Hillstead.

Newman/Herrinfield/Lusk finished in front with a time clocked at 23.96. And finally, Hillstead Colts 2, driven by Adam HIllstead, defeated G Spot, driven by Dale Leavitt, in the fourth race with a time of 25.47.

The finals were run on the day that was originally scheduled for the annual Shriners Chariot Races, however the event was canceled this year.
