Midway through the varsity clash between two-time defending state champion teams from Wyoming’s 3A & 4A classes, Star Valley was trailing Green River 21-18. The Braves then got a big overtime victory from Trey Waldron at 120 which kickstarted a five-match winning streak as Star Valley put the win in the bag.

The win was the 50th consecutive duel win for the Braves dating back to the 2015 Battle of the Big Horns against Billings Senior.

The wrestling team will send a contingent to the Bridgerland Duel Tournament this weekend in a last-minute addition to the schedule. Other varsity wrestlers will have the weekend off.

The duel streak will be back on the line next week as Star Valley travels to Evanston to face the Red Devils.
