Four school board seats up for election in LC School District No. 2

There are four seats up for election this year in Lincoln County School District No. 2. The filing period for candidates opens Aug. 8 and closes Aug. 27.

“We have four open seats this year,” said Superintendent Matt Erickson. “I think some of the current board members plan on running again and we appreciate that. But if anybody is out there that is optimistic, service oriented, and maybe has the characteristic of not having to be right all the time we would certainly solicit their help and interest in running to help a wonderful organization move forward.”

Among the four seats up for election are two at large board positions. One at large seat is a four-year term.
The other at-large seat is the board position vacated by Karen Tallerico that is currently being filled by appointment. The elected seat will be a two-year term.

At large seats are open to candidates that live anywhere within Lincoln County School District No. 2.
