Barbara Lincoln

Barbara Ann Lincoln, 75, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at her home in Rock Springs, Wyoming surrounded by family.

She was born on April 30, 1946 in Rock Springs, the daughter of Howard Cone and Lucille Scobie.
Barbara graduated from the Kemmerer High School and attended Western Wyoming Community College for two years.

She married David Lincoln in Rock Springs on April 12, 2000.

Barbara enjoyed spending her time outdoors and camping. She also loved animals and Elvis Presley.
Survivors include: her husband David Lincoln of Rock Springs, Wyoming; sons Del Bob Long of Afton, Wyoming, Adam Lincoln and wife Linsey of Rock Springs, Wyoming; daughters Krissa Quinn of Huston, Texas, Tamera Long and fiancé Nick Tharp of Rock Springs, Wyoming; sister Pam Cone of Grand Junction, Colorado; Lucille Hubert, Darlene Lukey, Alvin Wood all of Canada; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; niece Shawna Allen; nephew Corby Albert as well as numerous nieces and nephews through marriage.

She is preceded in death by her parents Howard and Lucille Cone and cousin Jim Wood.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, Wyoming. A luncheon will follow at the American Legion Archie Hay Post 24, 551 Broadway St., Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Kelly Garland

Kelly Garland, 62 year old former Buffalo man, passed away November 24, 2021 in Idaho Falls Idaho.

Kelly was born in Buffalo on July 28, 1959 to Gerald (Tub) and Edith (Green) Garland. He grew up and was educated in Johnson County schools graduating from Buffalo High School in 1978 and attended Northwest Wyoming Community College for one year on a track scholarship. While in high school he was an avid athlete, playing football, wrestling, and track. He still holds the pole vault record at Buffalo High School.

Kelly worked in construction, worked several local ranches, and did carpentry work until purchasing their own business in Thayne, Wyoming. Kelly’s love for horses got him involved in chariot racing, breeding, and raising horses. He loved to get on his horse and go – there was never an end to the trial.

He is survived by his wife Roxane, two stepsons Jeremy (Crystal) and Ric (Tara), and grandchildren Dalton, Noah, Joslyn, and Charlie. His mother, Edith Taffner, of Buffalo, one brother George Garland (Georgie) of Bremerton, Washington, one sister, Chriss Vasco of Buffalo, sister-in-law Diana Garland of Sheridan, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Kelly was proceeded in death by his father Tub, his brother Bill, step-mother Eva and step-father Sundown Taffner, brother-in-law Arturo Vasco and Uncle Glen Green.

A celebration of Kelly’s life was held on Saturday, December 11 at 2 p.m. at Dad’s Bar in Thayne.
