Cheryl Sutor

Cheryl Rose Sutor was born on June 13, 1963 in Denver, Colo. She passed away peacefully at her home with her children by her side on Jan. 7, 2018.  Cheryl was the fourth of five children born to Lynn and Kay Passey. She spent her growing up years in Auburn. She loved walking around Auburn and going to the creek there. Cheryl loved anything outdoors. Some of her favorite memories were when she would go camping with her family when she was younger. The stories got even more fun after her family adopted a monkey. Cheryl loved to travel. She loved going for rides, even short ones. During her travels she was able to visit San Francisco, South Dakota, San Diego, Oklahoma and Oregon, where she lived for about eight years. Cheryl loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Cheryl is survived by her two children, Sarah Passey of Grover and Tim Passey of Afton, her son-in-law Jean Bennett and five grandchildren, along with her brothers and sisters Dee Bradley, Cindy McNeel, Delvin Passey and Deb Passey. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Doris Erickson

Doris LaVon Wright Erickson was born Jan 11, 1935 in Thayne, to DelBert Carlos and Orilla Chloe Broadbent Wright. She grew up on the farm north and east of Thayne where she did the usual farm chores. She attended school in Thayne through the eighth grade and then graduated from Star Valley High School in 1953. After graduation she worked in the Doyle Child Insurance Agency. In time, she married C. Val Erickson in 1954 and to this union were born five children Rosalie (Ryan) McBride of Rexburg, Idaho; Lori (Jerry) Cartwright of Heber, Utah; Ellen Scruggs of Layton, Utah; Tammy (Paul) Munns of Salem, Utah, and David (Jody) Erickson of Kaysville, Utah. In 2002 Doris and Val returned to Star Valley to build a home north of Grover. About ten years ago, Doris was diagnosed with dementia and she gradually lost her ability to care for herself. In 2014, due to her ill health, Val and Doris moved to Kaysville, Utah to be closer to David and his family to have extra help with Doris’s care.  Doris and Val spent 63 plus years of marriage together and were united to the end. They have 20 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Jan. 22, 2018 at noon in the Meadows LDS Ward Chapel in Grover. There was a viewing prior to the service. Interment was at the Fairview Cemetery.
