Jackson Hole Middle School delayed after bomb threat

Classes were postponed at Jackson Hole Middle School Wednesday morning as law enforcement investigated a bomb threat.

Teton County School District reported that staff received a bomb threat to Jackson Hole Middle School late Tuesday evening.

In the early morning hours the Jackson Police Department, Teton County Sheriff’s Office, Teton County Bomb Squad, and Lander Police Department and K-9 bomb dog swept the middle school. No devices were found, deeming the building safe and school operations will resume at 10:55 a.m.

Parents were notified at approximately 6:15 a.m. via the School Messenger email, phone and text system of the two-hour delayed start. All other TCSD schools are on normal schedules. Investigation into the threat continues at this time.

TCSD stated that student safety is their highest priority and they appreciate the patience of students, parents, community members and staff.
