◆ Drive-thru pantry will be set up from noon to 2 p.m.

The Fall Mobile Food Pantry will be hosted by the Thayne food Bank at the Thayne Community Center on September 15 from noon to 2 p.m. to provide boxes of food items to residents in Star Valley who need some extra help.

The local food banks partner with Food Bank of Wyoming (formerly Food Bank of the Rockies). Food Bank of Wyoming  distributes more than a million meals every week on average for the one in six Wyoming residents who struggle to have enough food.

“Over in Casper, they will load the truck with over 200 boxes for Star Valley… then drive to the [Thayne] Community Center,” said Julie Buckley.

The boxes will have both perishables and non-perishables. It’s first come, first serve, so come early for a greater chance of receiving a box.

The Thayne Community Center is located at 250 Van Noy Parkway Thayne, WY.
