North Eden Fire outside of Cokeville chars more than 6,000 acres

The North Eden Fire near Cokeville has burned between 5,000 & 6,000 acres according to reports. The fire started in Utah, east of Bear Lake and is now in parts of Wyoming and Idaho as of 11 p.m. Thursday evening, August 17.

The Wyoming Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is currently moving in resources and working to help battle the blaze Friday and Saturday.

The fire is located approximately six miles south of the Taylor Subdivision in Cokeville. A large power transmission line is located in the area as well.
