“Stars in the Valley” concert set for Friday, Dec. 14

The Star Valley Arts Council is pleased to annouce a “Stars in the Valley” Christmas Concert. The event will take place on Friday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. in the Star Valley High School Auditorium.

Admission is free. The Christmas showcase will feature the artistic and musical talents of area residents. The evening is appropriate for audience members of all ages.

According to Star Valley Arts Council President Tim Hale, the performance will be approximately one hour in length. And, while the performance is free, the arts council will accept donations.

“[This will be a] Christmas variety show featuring a wide range of artistic selections–from operatic duets and string quartets, to lively dances and holiday harmonies,” he said. “The Star Valley Arts Council regrouped less than three months ago, and we wondered if we could really make our mission and presence felt in the community by putting a holiday show together. Now here we are and it’s gonna be really awesome!”

According to Hale, Star Valley has some tremendous artistic and musical abilities to draw from.

“The board and officers decided to keep a local feeling to the show, so we’ve gleaned performers from our large pool of local talent–hence the “Stars in the Valley” name,” he said. “We’ve come up with a variety show with all sorts of performing arts talent — even a live cartoonist!”

According to Hale, the event is designed to celebrate all things Christmas.
