SVHS earns three state runner-up finishes at State Spirit competition

The Brave Cadettes finished as the 3A Runner-ups in both the Hip-Hop & Jazz categories.

It was a very successful outing for the Star Valley High School Spirit Squads as they earned three State Runner-up trophies as part of the competition in Casper.

The Brave Cadettes placed second in the Jazz category with a score of 86.333. Lander Valley won the top trophy with a score of 87.833. Lovell was third with a 78.167.

The Brave Cadettes earned another second place trophy in the Hip-Hop category with a score of 87.333. Lander took the title with a total of 88.333. Riverton was third with a total of 77.333.

The SVHS Cheerleaders placed second in the All-Girl Cheer division with a score of 73.750. Mountain View took the top prize with a total of 82.667. Cokeville rounded out the top three with a score of 65.333.

The cheerleaders also placed fourth in the Cheer Non-Stunt category with a score of 74.333. Mountain View took first with a 92.333. Douglas (81.333) and Worland (77.667) rounded out the top three.

Cokeville took the state title in the 2A Cheer Non-Stunt with a score of 78.667. Burlington was second with a 74.333.
