William Spaulding promoted to sergeant major

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – First Sgt. William Spaulding of Star Valley was promoted to sergeant major in the Wyoming Army National Guard on May 4, 2018.

Spaulding had served as first sgt. in the Joint Force Headquarters for the last 32 months and has been a member of the Wyoming National Guard for 28 years.

He will move to 94th Troop Command as the operations sergeant major.

Spaulding was pinned by his cousin Jason Spaulding, the operations sergeant major for 115th Field Artillery Brigade and was sworn in by State Command Sgt. Maj. Harold Pafford.
