Wyoming & BYU win; Utah loses five of their last six

BYU got a career-high 213 rushing yards from running back Squally Canada as they knocked off UNLV on the road, 31-21 to improve to 3-8 on the season. Joe Critchlow was efficient for the Cougars, going 14/22 for 160 yards and a TD. BYU hosts UMass this weekend.

Wyoming jumped out to a 21-0 lead in Colorado Springs before quarterback Josh Allen suffered an apparent shoulder injury. The Pokes got another big game from their defense which forced three turnovers as they won 28-14. Wyoming leads the nation in turnover margin and are now 7-3 overall and 5-1 in the Mountain West. They host Fresno State this Saturday at noon. No word yet on the status of Allen for that game.

Utah fell to 5-5 on the season in a 33-25 loss at home to 19th-ranked Washington State. Luke Falk completed 40 passes for 311 yards and 3 TD’s for the Cougars who improved to 9-2. The Utes have lost 5 of 6 and will be on the road to face #9 Washington this weekend before hosting Colorado on November 25.
