• These students worked with musical authorities for two full days.
Thirty-three music students from Star Valley High School attended the Southwest District Honor Band and Choir Clinic in Big Piney on November 13-14. Guest clinicians worked with the students, teaching and preparing them for the concert that they presented at the conclusion of the clinic.
“I was very pleased with the quality of the performance by the Honor Band,” said Kurt Sand, SVHS Band Director. “It was probably one of the stronger performances I’ve heard in several years. It was especially nice to see a couple of our Star Valley students perform short solo sections in the concert pieces. They did a great job. These students worked very hard for two full days and were rewarded with a very strong concert performance.”
“This was a great opportunity for Star Valley High School choir students to go sing with other honor students from across our district. It was hard work, but it paid off and they put on a wonderful concert. I’m so proud of these students and their level of musicianship and their passion for singing.”
