• Community groups work together to make it happen.

Knights of Columbus at Holy Family Catholic Church are covering the costs to  process the animals purchased during the 4H and FFA auctions that are donated to the local food banks.

Together with the Star Valley Food Banks and the Lincoln County Fair, the Knights of Columbus hopes the fees for processing being covered will encourage those who buy stock from the auctions to donate to the local food banks; Afton Food Pantry, Thayne Food bank or the Alpine Food bank.

The Knights of Columbus was organized in the 1800’s with a “mission of charity”. That is what those members in our valley embrace as well.

This is the third year the organization will be offering this to those who donate. Mike Hobby with the Knights of Columbus says, “We feel this is a win for all involved. The kids, food banks and the community.”
