As part of the Weekday Wakeup, Captain Brian Andrews of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office spoke with Duke Dance and detailed the response of the LCSO in relation to the lockdown that took place on Monday, February 26.
Andrews spoke about the origins of the threat, which was a screen shot of a Snapchat account posted on Facebook, and how the investigation is moving forward as the LCSO works with those social media platforms to learn more.
According to Andrews, making terroristic threats are considered a felony. He said that such threats draw manpower and resources away from other investigations. There is no suspect as of yet and Andrews stated that the investigation is ongoing.
