Volleyball
The Lady Braves went into the weekend under the radar but they might not be anymore. The volleyball team knocked off a pair of top-five teams on Friday in Mountain View as part of the 3A West Conference Duels. They defeated #3 Cody first in a 3-0 sweep (25-23, 25-17, 25-15) and then dispatched #5 Riverton in a back and forth five games 3-2, (14-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-22, 15-13). The squad then had little trouble on Saturday as they swept both Lander (25-13, 25-13, 25-20) and Powell (25-11, 25-17, 25-12). The ladies will be on the road in Lyman on Thursday before hosting Mountain View on Friday this week.

Football
The Braves had no trouble with the Jackson Broncs as they pitched their second shutout of the season in a 51-0 drubbing of their rivals to the north. Payton Erickson threw for 277 yards and four touchdowns in the effort which moved the football team to 7-0 on the season. Up next is senior night this Friday as Star Valley hosts the Powell Panthers with a 4 p.m. kickoff. Powell was the last team to beat the Braves who have now won 12 straight dating back to last season.
Cross-Country
After wrapping up the regular season with a dominating performance in the Braves Time Trial, the SVXC teams will be in Mountain View this weekend as part of the 3A West Regionals. Both the boys and girls teams are heavy favorites.
Marching Band
The 82-member Star Valley Marching Braves will be in Casper for the annual Wyoming State Marching Band competition this Saturday. The program has captured back-to-back Superior ratings the past two seasons and are scheduled to perform their segment at approximately 7 p.m.
