Star Valley takes on the Worland Warriors at 2:30 Thursday afternoon.

The Lady Braves opened up the 3A West Regionals in Riverton with a sweep over the Powell Panthers with scores of 26-24, 25-21 & 25-11. It advanced the squad to the semifinals where they facd the top seed out of the Northwest, the Cody Fillies. CHS was looking to avenge a sweep at the hands of the Lady Braves at the 3A Conference Duels and jumped out to a 2-0 lead with scores of 20-25, 19-25. The Lady Braves bounced back with wins in sets three and four, 25-15 & 25-22 to force the game five.  Star Valley then completed the comeback with a 15-9 win to qualify for the state tournament in Casper and avance to the Regional Championship.

On the other side of the bracket, top-seeded Lyman was upset by the Riverton Wolverines who took advantage of their home court with a four-set win.  The Eagles went on to place third, defeating the Mountain View Buffalos.

Star Valley played from behind for virtually the entire championship, but managed to rally and take the first set, 25-23 before falling to the red-hot Wolverines, 16-25, 17-25 & 22-25.

The results of the weekend will now pit the Lady Braves against the Worland Warriors on Thursday with a start time of 2:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. A win would set up a potential rematch of the 2016 3A championship with the Douglas Lady Bearcats in the semi-finals.
