The Town of Alpine is seeking public input concerning a one cent increase in sales tax, or what is known as the 6th penny tax.   The public can vote for/against the optional 6th penny tax on the General Election Ballot in 2018.  According to information on the survey, these funds would give Alpine the opportunity to work on specific projects, but cannot be used for their Water or Sewer Departments.  After 4 years the tax would go away unless it passes another vote.  

Questions on the survey ask about the importance of sidewalks, road improvement, the civic center and street lighting.
