The National Weather Service has released preliminary snowfall totals from the storm that impacted Star Valley and western Wyoming Saturday and Sunday. Meteorologist Jack Hales posted the totals on his weather blog, blog.starvalleyweather.com.
Locally, Smoot accumulated 8 inches from the storm. 4.7 inches fell in Star Valley Ranch and 4.5 inches in Thayne. Afton and Fairview both picked up 4 inches.
Up in the mountains, 13 inches fell at the Willow Creek Snowtel location while Commissary Ridge picked up 12 inches with 11 inches falling at the Spring Creek Divide, Indian Creek, and Blind Bull.
Around the region, 5.5 inches fell in Jackson Hole, 1.5 inches in Pinedale, 4.5 inches in Cody and 6.7 inches in Rock Springs.
