Jason Hoopes & Dexan Dance are in Casper and will be providing audio coverage of the Braves’ run at a third consecutive Wyoming 3A state title this weekend.

Star Valley is trying to three-peat for the first time in 20 years and also capture the program’s 23rd title since 1968.

Tristian Hicks and Josh Dawson are returning state champions and will be attempting to repeat as individual champions. Hick won at 106 pounds last year as a sophomore. He is wrestling at 120 pounds this season. Josh Dawson went undefeated at 220 pounds last season and he is undefeated again so far this season. He would be the first Brave to go undefeated in back-to-back seasons since Rick Wolfley did so at Heavyweight in 2004-05 & 2005-06.

Gavin Patterson is a two-time finalist and will be looking to cap off his senior year with a state championship at 126 pounds. Trevor Clark is also looking for a state title at 145 pounds. Clark is trying to become just the ninth SVHS wrestler to place four times at the state tournament.
