The Lady Braves couldn’t overcome a cold shooting night from the outside as they fell to the Buffalo Bison, 41-37 in the 3A semifinals on Friday night.
Star Valley trailed by as many as ten on multiple occasions and cut the deficit to two points but never led in the game. Otessa Olsen had the team-high with ten points while Olivia Muir added nine points. Caitland Erickson scored five and had the game-high of seven rebounds.
The loss dropped the Lady Braves into a game for third place against the Powell Panthers on Saturday morning at 10:30 at Kelly Walsh High School. Buffalo and Douglas will play for a fourth time this season as they meet in the 3A state championship game at 5 p.m.
