Orlo James Goodson was born March 7, 1952 to Pearl Brough Goodson and C. Edward Goodson in Ogden, Utah. He was raised in Kaysville, Utah. He is survived by his siblings Kathleen Lund, Eddie Goodson (Orlo’s twin), Matt Goodson, Liz Swanson, Mark Goodson, and Mary Miller. He served an LDS mission to Northern California. After that he graduated from BYU in motion picture and television production. He also obtained a certificate in Machining. He married Maxine Corson August 20, 1975. They have six children: Edward Moroni Goodson, Benjamin Orlo Goodson, Katie Maxine Resare, Dusty Glenn Goodson, Kristy Diane Goodson, and Karen Dee Goodson. Orlo had a vivid imagination and loved to write books and dreamed of making movies. After a four month battle with cancer he died in Afton, Wyoming on December 4, 2017. Funeral services were held on December 11, 2017 at the Afton 3rd Ward building, with the interment at the Afton Cemetery.
Patricia Ann Hale (Putnam), 78, passed away peacefully in her home early Friday, December 15, 2017. Pat was born in Afton, Wyoming, the daughter of Nelle and Harold Arbogast. Nelle was later sealed to her second husband, Charles Nathaniel Putnam. Pat and her sisters considered Charles their father. Pat attended Star Valley High School and later received her Associates Degree from Western Wyoming College. As a young wife and mother, she raised her three daughters in various parts of Wyoming. After her first marriage Pat went on to work and live in Utah, California, and finally moved back to Afton, where she met the love of her life, Allen Hale. They wed in 1991, were sealed in the Logan Utah temple in 1999, and Pat shared the remaining years of her life in great happiness with him. She is also survived by three brothers, Leo (Shirley) Putnam, Cleon (Sheryl) Putnam, and Ernest (Bobbie) Putnam; three daughters, Helen (Stewart) Turner of Upland, Indiana, Mitzi Harrison of Longmont Colorado, and Brenda Terry of Sandy, Utah; step-daughters Susan (Shawn) Jaracz, Lori (Gary) Johnson, Lisa (Chris) Gunnoe, Stacey LeFevre Bassett; step-sons Robert (Ruth) Hale and Richard (Diana) Hale; 26 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Nelle, father Charles, brother Noel, brother Malloy, sister Gloria, sister Liela, and step-son Ron Hale. Pat was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her testimony remained a cornerstone of her life in all circumstances. She served in various capacities in the church, in the temple, and in her community. She loved her home on the ranch, her horses, and many hobbies. She was an accomplished seamstress and baker. Her interests varied from ceramics, beading, cake decorating, and cooking, to gardening. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, innumerable talents, and unconditional love for and loyalty to her family. The funeral service will be held on December 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Fairview Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Highway 89, Afton Wyoming (South of Temple), with interment at Afton Cemetery.
