Football –
• The Kemmerer Rangers punched their ticket for the post-season with a 12-0 victory over the Lovell Bulldogs. KHS eliminated Pinedale due to the head-to-head victory earlier in the season and earned the #4 seed from the 2A West. The team will now travel to face the top-ranked Buffalo Bison next weekend in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. It is the first trip to the playoffs for Kemmerer since 2012.

In a hotbed of football activities Friday night in Ethete, the Cokeville Panthers rolled over Wind River 48-0 to claim the 1A West top seed heading into the post-season. CHS is undefeated on the season which includes victories over several 2A schools and 3A junior varsity squads. The Panthers now await a coin-flip between Wright, Tongue River and Lusk to see who will visit them next Friday in Lincoln County.

With nothing to play for except rivalry bragging rights, the Star Valley Braves continued an explosive offensive performance that took place last year on the Evanston field in a 50-21 drubbing of the Devils to win their sixth straight game. David Castillo rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns and R.J. Cazier finished with 169 yards and three touchdowns to pace the effort. Chase Merrell also finished with four catches for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Star Valley won on the Evanston field 61-6 a year ago. They now host the Worland Warriors next Friday with a kick-off scheduled for 6 p.m.

It was a long trip to Wheatland for the Pinedale Wranglers who knew early on in their game that regardless of the outcome they had been eliminated from the post-season with Kemmerer’s victory. Matters got worse as the Bulldogs rolled to a 55-6 win to end the PHS season.

Volleyball –
The Star Valley Lady Braves played their final home match of the season as they honored the team’s lone senior, Olivia Muir, Friday night. SVHS improved to (23-5) on the season with a 3-0 sweep of the Lady Wranglers (25-10, 25-16 & 25-17). Muir combined for 16 Kills in the first two sets alone while Otessa Olsen also double-digits. Star Valley will complete their regular season with a Saturday afternoon trip to Green River to face the Wolves.

The Lady Rangers of Kemmerer picked up a 3-0 sweep of Wyoming Indian on Friday night (27-25, 25-14 & 25-20) to pick up their seventh win of the season.

It’s another showdown top teams as the #1 Cokeville Lady Panthers travel to face the #3 Farson-Eden Pronghorns Saturday afternoon. The Panthers swept #2 Saratoga last weekend in Cokeville.

Cross-Country
• The Wyoming State Cross-Country meet is Saturday in Sheridan with races beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the 2A girls. The schedule will proceed with the 4A girls (11:15 a.m.), the 3A girls (11:45 a.m.), the 2A boys (12:15 p.m.), the 4A boys (12:45 p.m.) and the 3A boys (1:15 p.m.). Star Valley is gunning for their seventh straight 3A boys title and a third straight girls title.
