Buy it, Make it, Win it is the theme for 2nd Annual Crafty Witch Retreat coming to the Lincoln County Fairgrounds this Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27. The Crafty Witch Retreat will include a large selection of handmade craft vendors to shop from, many of which are traveling from out of town, with a wide selection of holiday decor, art, jewelry and more.
The event also provides the opportunity to make your own crafts at one of the many classes both days of the event. Sign ups for these classes are at Jenny M’s Quilt Shop in Afton or on Facebook at the Crafty Witch Retreat page. There will also be a kids craft booth running both days of the event.
Participants in this event also have the chance to win, with over 25 raffles and prizes.
Admission for the Crafty Witch Retreat is $1 for ages 8 years and up and gets you one raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets can be purchased to increase your chances of winning. All admission and raffle proceeds will benefit the Ruby Slipper Society.
The Ruby Slipper Society is a new organization that patches pants and refurbishes shoes for local kids in need. If you have jean pants with holes don’t throw them away, donate them to this new organization. The Ruby Slipper Society is also looking for more new members. For more information contact Shauna Lainhart at 307-220-3839 or email caramelcauldron@gmail.com.
On Friday, after the first day of the Crafty Witch Retreat is over, the doors are reopened for a special Witches Night Out from 6:30-9:00 PM. Admission for this event is $10 and a witch hat is required. The first 100 witches and 25 kid witches receive a free Hag Bag filled with samples, coupons, treats and more. Come enjoy trick or treating, contests, shopping, games, tarot card reading, a potions bar and more.
