Three coaches from Lincoln County School District #2 were honored on the Wyoming Coaches Association (WCA) Coach of the Year list for the Fall season.

Bill Thompson of Cokeville was named the 1A Volleyball Coach of the year. The Panthers didn’t drop a single set as they claimed the program’s 23rd team title in school history.

Keith Nate was named the Football Assistant Coach of the Year. The Panthers took an undefeated record into the 1A 11-Man state championship game where Cokeville finished as the state runner-up to the Big Horn Rams.

Finally, Star Valley’s Mckay Young was named the 3A Football Coach of the Year. The Braves rattled off nine straight wins after a 1-2 start and a rash of injuries to claim the program’s third state title in the last four seasons. It is the second time Young has been honored in the last three years.

The award recipients will be honored at the summer banquet in Casper.
