POCATELLO — A Pocatello man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly sexually abused two young boys.
Christopher D. Ostergar, 27, is charged with one felony county of lewd conduct and one felony count of child sex abuse. If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
Pocatello police officers were contacted around 1 p.m. Thursday by the mother of the two children. She said her two young sons told her they had been having sexual contact with each other.
When detectives met with the two children, court documents say they described disturbing behavior that Ostergar allegedly made them participate in.
Ostergar told officers he was aware of the allegations and said that in January 2016, he had been viewing pornography with one of the children, then 3-years-old, in the room. He said he may have brushed his genitals on the boy when picking him up before spanking him.
Ostergar denied having sexual contact with the children but said he knew they had engaged in sexual contact with each other, according to court documents.
Ostergar is being held on $20,000 bail at the Bannock County Jail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 27.
