The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a Big Piney woman.
Sergeant Travis Bingham , Public Information Officer with the sheriff’s office, reported that deputies responded to a call of an unresponsive female on Saturday, February 16, at approximately 12:50 PM.
According to Bingham, upon arrival on scene deputies found the female in her home. She was cold to the touch and appeared to be deceased before the arrival of first responders. The woman was later identified as 46-year-old Yvonne Nicole (Nikkie) Woods of Big Piney, Wyoming. Sublette County EMS arrived on scene where Mrs. Woods was pronounced deceased.
The cause of death is currently under investigation by the Sublette County Sheriff’s Office and the Sublette County Coroner’s Office. No foul play is suspected at this time.
The incident follows a similar case just two days before involving a Pinedale woman who was found deceased in her home.
