March 7, otherwise known as 307 Day, encourages residents to share their love for Wyoming on social media. From border to border, Wyomingites unify to celebrate the state’s epic landscapes, adventures and community.
“307 Day allows the Wyoming Office of Tourism to celebrate the state and its residents who inspire visitors to return year after year,” Michell Howard, senior director of brand strategy, said. “We market Wyoming to non-resident travelers, but we recognize that Wyomingites play a huge role in visitors’ experiences.”
To participate in the 307 Day celebration, Wyoming residents are encouraged to post photos of Wyoming across social media using #WY307.
For the chance to win tickets to a Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo and night show, Wyoming residents or those planning to visit Wyoming this summer can follow these steps:
- Follow Travel Wyoming’s Facebook page.
- On March 6, watch for a post from Travel Wyoming asking for participants to upload ONE photograph showcasing Wyoming’s beautiful landscapes and western charm.
- On March 7, at noon, begin “liking” your favorite 307 Day photos on Travel Wyoming’s Facebook page.
- On March 8, check back throughout the day to see who the winner is.
Residents may also enjoy their state on one of four road trips across Wyoming. The road trips highlight areas of the state including Devils Tower National Monument, Grand Encampment Museum, Fossil Butte National Monument and more.
As the only state with a single area code, celebrating Wyoming on 307 Day just makes sense. Celebrating state pride on social media allows Wyomingites to come together virtually to show love for their home.
