Abraham Lincoln Memorial Monument

Nothing is more unusual than being looked upon by a giant sculpture of Abraham Lincoln’s head set atop a tall rock formation. The Abraham Lincoln Memorial Monument was created by sculptor Robert Russin in 1959 to honor the president’s 150th birthday. It was originally located in Sherman Hill, Wyoming, at the highest point of the Lincoln Highway, but it was relocated in 1969 to Laramie.
World’s Largest Jackalope

The jackalope is a mythical creature that resembles a jackrabbit with antelope horns. In Dubois, Wyoming, you can see the myth come to life in what is said to be the biggest jackalope in the world. The giant stuffed jackalope is housed at the Country Store in Dubois and is even outfitted with a saddle so that visitors can ride it.
Essence of Rex
Located outside the Tate Geological Museum in Casper, Wyoming, this life-size light-up dinosaur was sculpted by artist Chris Navarro. The bronze T. Rex was erected in June 2014 and stands 15 feet tall, featuring 1,500 LED lights that reveal the dinosaur’s skeleton.
Big Boy Statue

Big Boy restaurants are easily recognizable by the statues of the restaurant’s mascot that sit outside each location. In Wapiti, a lone Big Boy statue stands in the middle of an empty field. The statue appeared mysteriously in 2013, and people still don’t know how or why it ended up there.

The Sanford’s location in Casper can’t be missed, thanks to the two enormous statues of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck standing at the front of the restaurant. The eatery offers a unique dining experience, featuring a room full of old-school vehicles and other memorabilia.
Devils Tower National Monument
Devils Tower should be at the top of your list of unusual things to see in Wyoming. The breathtaking rock formation towers over the prairie of northeastern Wyoming. Devils Tower was the first United States national monument, designated as such by Theodore Roosevelt in 1906.
