CODY, Wyo. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) proposes a non-competitive, direct sale of 10.53 acres in Big Horn County to resolve an unauthorized use of public lands, and to dispose of property that is and was used as a landfill. An Environmental Assessment was completed for the sale parcel and the Decision Record signed on Nov. 21, 2018.
The land sale is in conformance with the BLM Approved Cody Resource Management Plan, which identifies this parcel of public land as suitable for disposal and not needed for any other Federal purpose.

A Notice announcing the land sale will publish in the Federal Register on July 12, 2019, beginning a 45-day public comment period. Comments on the land sale should be received by August 26, 2019 and submitted to Field Manager, BLM Cody Field Office, 1002 Blackburn Street, Cody, Wyoming, 82414.
