This evening, Wyoming Congresswoman and House GOP Conference Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) attempted to bring H.R. 962, The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Act, to the floor for an up-or-down vote. After House Democrats blocked the request for the 75th time this Congress, Rep. Cheney released the following statement:

“The refusal by House Democrats to allow a vote on common sense legislation that protects the life of innocent babies and their mothers is abhorrent. It is our moral obligation to fight every day for the most vulnerable among us. It is indefensible that Democrats refuse to bring up this legislation that would protect babies born alive. My Republican colleagues and I will continue fighting to protect the sanctity of every human life.”
