The Town of Afton will be helping residents clean up their property on September 23.

According to the Town of Afton, “all items must be placed in the Town right of way by 7 a.m. on Monday, September 23, 2019.”

The information also included the following details:

– The Town of Afton will only pick up tree trimmings such as limbs and leaves. All limbs and branches must be cut in lengths not to exceed eight feet and eight inches in diameter or they will not be accepted.

– The Town will not pick up grass clippings, plastic bags, rocks, metal, appliances, construction material, etc.

– Burning of garbage, refuse, leaf and grass rakings is prohibited within the Town of Afton as these items should be disposed of properly by the homeowner.
