A former Star Valley resident was recently promoted in the Idaho Army National Guard.  Raleigh Scott was promoted to Sergeant First Class on Friday, February 7 in Preston, Idaho.  Scott has served in the National Guard for eleven years with one deployment to Iraq in 2010-2011. He currently works full time as an Idaho Fish and Game Officer.

Scott was promoted to Sergeant First Class by Captain Dillon Dance, who also grew up in Star Valley.  Scott and Dance graduated from Star Valley High School in 2002.
