Veterans in Star Valley teamed up with Tootsie’s Pizza to make and deliver pizzas to healthcare professionals in Star Valley. The pizzas were delivered for lunch to community health clinics, the VA clinic, Star Valley Health and Sterling Urgent Care on Thursday, April 23.
Area veterans passed a virtual hat to gather funds for the effort. The donated funds were used to purchase 30 pizzas. Tootsie’s donated an additional 10 pizzas to the project.
Pizza deliveries got underway just after 11:30 a.m. on April 23 and were delivered to health providers from Alpine to Afton as a way to express appreciation and recognize the role community healthcare professionals play in the ongoing battle against COVID-19.
