Kick It or Keep It returns to Swift 98 this week with a lawyer from Georgia working to launch a career in music.
Jay R. Stephens, from Gainsville, Georgia, recently sent his single titled “Give It Up” to SVI Radio.
Stephens said he first started writing songs at age 13, but put that to the side to get his education. Now that he has obtained his educational goals, Stephens is now seriously working to pursue his passion for music.
“Writing songs is the only thing that really comes naturally to me, and the easiest way for me to express myself.” Stephens said. “Having this ability has got me through many hard times.”
“I believe that my story is unique because it shows that you can get your education, but still pursue your dreams. It’s important to do things you love. I believe it’s time that I do what I’ve always loved, and to share my talents with the world.”
