Kemmerer Senior Center closed until at least Thursday due to excavation
The Kemmerer Senior Center will be temporarily closed until Thursday June 25 according to reports from the Community Board for Kemmerer, Diamondville and surrounding areas Facebook page.
According to information on that page, “[crews] are working diligently to get the cent back open ASAP. We have [a] sewer issue that we must dig up and need to abide by the Wyoming 811 laws. If everything goes well Wednesday morning (June 24) we should have the repairs made to have them open for Thursday (June 25)”
The comment was tagged by the Lincoln County Facilities Management.
The Wyoming 811 Law is also referred to as One Call of Wyoming which requires all excavators to have at least two business days prior to an excavation to allow utility members to mark their lines. This service is free but required by law.
The Kemmerer Senior Center Facebook Page confirmed the closure and stated that they will be delivering lunches starting tomorrow (June 24). Those wishing to have a lunch delivered can call 307-877-3806.
The Kemmerer Senior Center is located at 105 JC Penney Drive.
