◆ Urgent care services moved into clinic offices.
Star Valley Health’s urgent care facilities in Alpine and Afton are combining services in each community.
The urgent care facilities will now offer services within the established clinic offices. In Alpine the clinic is located on U.S. 89 near the Alpine Fire Station and in Afton the clinic is located on the hospital campus.
SV Health CEO Bren Lowe advised the combination will allow for improved communication and access for the entire health care process.
“It was determined that to continue to provide exceptional care for the community, that combining urgent care with the family medicine clinics gave us the ability to coordinate our care,” explained Lowe. “This allows our providers to communicate effectively regarding treatment plans.”
He continued, “For patients that may have chronic conditions, this is particularly useful. The combined locations will provide an ease of use and access to a clinic that our patients are already familiar with.”
Lowe said the combined services will address both walk-ins and appointments for patients.
“We are now offering urgent care and clinic hours in one building with the two services,” Lowe said. “Urgent care can see you on a walk-in basis and family physicians can see you by appointment, in the same building.”
Afton Urgent Care walk-in hours are Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Alpine Urgent Care walk-in Hours are Sunday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Appointments hours for the Afton and Alpine clinics, remain unchanged, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
