Fall sports practice began on Monday August 10, as Wyoming’s prep golf teams as well as the 4A classification of football tucked away their first official meetings.
For Star Valley High School Golf, things will look slightly different but according to head coach Kelly Fullmer, they teams will still compete the same number of days during the season. The biggest change will be that there are no overnight stays for the Braves and Lady Braves who will instead log more bus time as they drive back and forth to closer tournaments.
This week is a prime example as the teams will be dueling Jackson Hole High School in Teton County at the Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club. The program will then make a trip to Kemmerer on Friday for a one-day tournament in the county seat which is likely to draw several of the teams in southwest Wyoming.
The SVHS Golf program will host a junior varsity invitational at Star Valley View Golf Course next week on Tuesday August 18. A varsity tournament will take place on August 20-21 at the same venue in Afton.
