• State Golf
The 2020 Golf season is now in the books and there are new champions that have been crowned.
In the 3A team race the Lovell Bulldogs came out on top of a very competitive battle atop the standings with a two-day total of 555. The Wheatland Bulldogs were just three strokes back with a 558 and the Green River Wolves were third with a 566.
Lovell’s Erika Cook won the individual state championship with a 156.
The Lady Braves had a nice weekend, shooting a 576 and placing fourth. Senior Taylor Erickson was sixth overall and junior Taylee Stoker was tenth as both earned All-State honors.
The Worland Warriors pulled away for a 39-stroke victory on the 3A Boys side with a 620. Cody was second with a 659 and Riverton rounded out the top three with a 665. Star Valley was fourth with a 684. Karsen Spaulding had the team’s top finish in 13th place.
Riverton freshman Parker Paxton shot a 68 on Saturday to win the state title with a two-day total of 138. Jaren Calkins of Lander was three strokes back with a 141 and Worland’s Karsten Simmons was third with a 147.
In 4A the Thunder Basin girls edged the Jackson Lady Broncs by just three strokes. The Jackson boys won the title by 11 strokes.

Lady Braves: 3 Riverton: 0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-10)
Less than a day after pulling out a five-set victory against Cody, the Lady Braves swept the Riverton Wolverines on Saturday afternoon to improve their record to (8-4)
The volleyball team is hosting the Evanston Red Devils at SVHS on Tuesday afternoon.
