Scoring three times in the first quarter, the Braves collected a relatively easy road win in Evanston on Wednesday evening behind big games from quarterback Brant Nelson and running back Lane Oesch.
The Braves won back-to-back games for the first time this season in a 42-14 win over the Devils to improve to (3-5)(2-2) on the season.
Nelson threw for over 200 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another while Oesch rushed for 175 yards and a pair of scores. Nelson became the school’s all-time leader in career passing yardage and passing touchdowns.
Tristan Kleeman caught a pair of those touchdowns and Kort Hilton caught the other.
Star Valley is now off until October 24 when they host the Green River Wolves in what is likely a must-win scenario to earn a trip to the post-season.
