No Unnecessary Travel Advisory issued in Snake River Canyon, US 26 remains closed
UPDATE: All alerts for the Snake River Canyon were lifted at 12:00 noon. WYDOT reports the road remains slick with blowing snow. US 26 between Ririe and Swan Valley has also reopened.
ORIGINAL: WYDOT issued a “No Unnecessary Travel Advisory” at 9:25 Tuesday morning for the Snake River Canyon between Alpine and Jackson due to blowing snow and reduced visibility. In addition, most roads in Teton County are under the advisory, while US 26 north of Swan Valley in Idaho remains closed.
