◆ Rising temperatures and melting snow pave the way for spring activities and sports.
As temperatures warm up, LCSD No. 2 schools are looking to spring sports and activities. Star Valley Schools have no school on March 12 and March 19 and will host Parents Teacher Conferences March 16-17. Watch your email for details. Spring Break is scheduled for all schools, district-wide, March 28 through April 5.
Afton Elementary School will follow the district schedule through April 5.
Cokeville Elementary AR points are due on March 18.
Etna Elementary is expecting to follow a normal schedule until after Spring Break.
At Osmond Elementary, the March PTO meeting will be held via Zoom on March 11 at 10 a.m. The online book fair will run March 14-24.
At Thayne Elementary, students and staff will also follow the district schedule through April 5.
At Star Valley Middle School, the Brave Cadette Clinic for 8th grade students is scheduled for March 16 at SVHS after school for all students interested in trying out for the dance team. Brave Cadette tryouts will run March 22-24, concluding with the Brave Cadette Review on March 25 at SVHS at 6:30 p.m. Outdoor spring track practices begin on March 22.
At Cokeville High School, ASVAB readings for 10th , 11th and 12th grade students are scheduled for March 11. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held March 18 and plan for Friday School on March 19. The CHS Spring musical is scheduled for performances at noon on March 18 and at 7 p.m. on March 19 and 20.
Star Valley High School has begun spring outdoor track practices. Star Valley FFA will travel to Pinedale on Wednesday, March 10 for regional competition. SVHS Speech and Debate Team is scheduled to compete virtually in the State Competition March 11-13. The SVHS spring musical, “Newsies,” is scheduled for performances March 18-20 with performances March 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. and two performance on March 20 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Swift Creek High School students end their 3rd quarter March 22 and begin their 4th quarter on March 23.
