The playoff picture is getting more clear as the final week of the regular season is coming up. The Star Valley Braves used a 40-6 home win over the Evanston Red Devils to punch their ticket to the post-season on Thursday. Lane Oesch had over 160 rushing yards and two touchdowns to lead the offense. Winston Green set the tone for the game by returning the opening kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown and adding a 30-yard touchdown reception later in the game. Taft McClure threw for a pair of scores.
The win combined with Jackson’s 21-17 win over Powell cemented Star Valley’s spot on the road in the first round of the playoffs as the 3A West #3 seed. Douglas defeated Buffalo and the Braves are likely to play the Bison on the road in the first round.
