Majority of Kemmerer/Diamondville residents believe Nuclear power is safe and will benefit community
The majority of residents living in Kemmerer and Diamondville believe that TerraPower’s Natrium Nuclear Power Plant will be safe and a benefit to the community, according to survey results conducted by both communities.
The survey was sent to residents with their utility bills. A total of 323 surveys were completed and returned, 265 from Kemmerer and 57 from Diamondville.
TerraPower announced in November that they had selected Kemmerer as the site for their first Natrium reactor facility. Construction is expected to begin in mid 2022, with completion sometime in 2028.
