For Dall Wilson, creating the Symphonic Film series is an opportunity to explore and create new music to each encounter with nature, people, and places. “This episode is among several focused on the National Park and its Wyoming setting,” Dall said. 

Music for a larger film crossing Wyoming from Sundance to Buffalo, returning via Thermopolis is being composed now. His first Wyoming episodes crossed the Grand Tetons, resulting in a celebrated photograph. 

Dall Wilson’s Symphonic Films join his compositions for voice. Dall’s musical “Aliss Afire” celebrates the Gilded Age 1890s sound and performers who inspired the West to build opera houses. Each Symphonic Film consists of HD video film, 11×17 museum quality prints of select stills, the orchestra score, and related graphics. Films are suitable for broadcast and for museum and gallery exhibit. 

Dall’s Symphonic Film episodes range from ten minutes to over two hours. Certain episodes feature artists, sculptors, and poets. Select episodes are demo’d on YouTube. On iTunes are “Bluegrass Symphony” and the art song “I Must Dare All” (lyric from ancient Greece). His ongoing Symphonic Films are set in Czech, Scandinavia, Europe, and across North America.
