Former Lyman standout and University of Wyoming Cowgirl, McKinley Bradshaw, announced her intentions to leave the basketball program and forego her senior season in order to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bradshaw stated:
“After graduating in the summer I have made the decision to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and sadly won’t be returning for my senior year. I would like to thank all the cowgirl fans for your love and support. You made playing for Wyoming a once in a lifetime experience”
Bradshaw thanked her coaches and her teammates as well. Bradshaw led the Cowgirls in scoring this past season at 14.9 points per game and averaged 5.7 rebounds per game as well. The Cowgirls won the Mountain West Tournament for the first time in program history last season, making the program’s second NCAA appearance and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the WNIT this season before falling to UCLA in triple overtime.
