According to the Wyoming Geological Survey, a magnitude 4.2 earthquake occurred at 7:32 a.m. on May 11, in Yellowstone National Park.
The location of the quake was designated 91 miles north-northeast of Jackson according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The USGS notes that the depth of the quake at 14.0 kilometers in depth with the closest location being Silver Gate, Montana in the Absaroka Range.
Those who felt the quake have reported from Cody, Bozeman and Red Lodge as well as areas in-between.
