According to the Soda Springs Police Department (SSPD), Wade L. Schvaneveldt, 52, was arrested on Friday September 2 after a months long joint investigation involving the SSPD and the Caribou County Sheriff’s Office.

Schvaneveldt has been charged with multiple counts of statutory rape. He was booked into the Caribou County Sheriff’s Office Jail in lieu of a $350,000 bond.

According to the SSPD Facebook page, the affidavits for the arrest have been sealed by the 6th District Magistrate Judge D. Cousins pending a court hearing on the matter. The SSPD stated that the investigation is ongoing and have no further comment at this time.
