The Wyoming Department of Transportation plans to begin road patching operations in southwest Wyoming beginning Monday, April 10. The work is contingent upon weather, as roads must be clear of snow and safe for work.
WYDOT said one of the project locations includes US 30 west of Kemmerer between mileposts 26-45. Other project locations includes portions of I-80 in both Sweetwater and Uinta Counties. WYDOT plans to begin with I-80 east of Rock Springs next week and work their way towards the other project areas, including US 30 near Kemmerer. The project is expected to run through April and May, depending on weather conditions.
When the project does reach south Lincoln County, traffic will be reduced to a single lane with reduced speeds. Motorists are advised to expect delays up to 15 minutes.
