◆ Wolfley sings for the FFA talent show and opens Saturday events with the National Anthem.
Bridger Wolfley (15), son of Mitch and Cheyanne Wolfley of Grover, auditioned for both the talent show and national anthem for the Wyoming State FFA Convention in Cheyenne. The week before leaving for FFA, Bridger found out he would be in both.
Bridger’s mom, Cheyanne, shared, “The first banquet night, he was chosen to perform a piece for the talent show and then, on the second banquet night, he was asked to sing the national anthem to open up the event.”
You might recognize Bridger from the recent Star Valley High School production of “Cinderella”, playing the part of Jean-Michel. He also performed in last year’s SVHS rendition of “Footloose” as the principal.
Bridger has been involved in choir and has perfomed with others on stage, so the FFA experience was the first time he has performed on stage, solo.
Cheyanne spoke proudly of Bridger saying, “He’s pretty amazing. He’s one of those who sets his mind to something and wants to better himself with it and, if he finds a love for it, you can bet he’s put time and effort and his heart and soul into it… It’s what he loves and he’s not going to step away from it.”
Bridger has spent a short time in singing lessons, but mainly works on it himself, practicing and building up his musical talent.
Cheyanne says that Bridger “loves everything about FFA and now, singing is just the cherry on top. He gives his all to anything he puts his mind to.”
Bridger is currently working on several projects for the upcoming Fair this summer, including raising sheep, goats, chickens, and rabbits. “He likes to learn and he likes to grow,” says Cheyanne.
